Allston

Originally part of Brighton, Allston was officially recognized as a neighborhood within the City of Boston in 1874 and  is home to the Harvard Business School, Harvard Stadium and the new Science & Engineering campus. Bordering the Charles River, Allston offers easy access to and from the city with proximity to the Mass Pike, Storrow Drive and the the MBTA Green B line.

The younger population is reflected in the character of the neighborhood with several live music venues, hip cafes, numerous restaurants and boutique shops dominating the main thoroughfare, Commonwealth “Comm” Ave. The architecture is a mix of single family and multi family homes giving way to larger midrises and brownstones the closer to get to Commonwealth Ave. With the large cyclical student population this neighborhood makes a great location for investors looking to purchase rental properties.
